Hippos and Hashbrowns was launched in 2016, after Sandra Daniels and her family returned from 14 years in east Africa. Baking from the age of 12 and growing up in a home where everyone cooked, food has always been an important part of her life. After years of friends and family saying, “you could sell these” about her whole grain crisps, she decided to try it and set up at a farmers market. The reception was immediately positive and a loyal following began to grow.
Hippos and Hashbrowns continues to spread into markets and shops throughout Texas. They recently built their own kitchen in east Dallas and have grab&go service 3 days per week. Their mission continues to be focused on providing quality baked goods that nourish body and soul. They believe good food is part of a good life and strive to bring that quality into customers’ homes through their wholesome treats and healthy eats.
